HEROES FOR SAFETY™
Clown Aid Photos It was time for CLOWN AID! The audience was seated. The musical fanfare began. Now it was time for the show! David Dobrotka (Chief of Police for the City of Glendale), Paul Felice (Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Glendale), and Brook Edwards (Fire Chief for the City of Glendale) welcomed everyone.
Then the hosts of the show were introduced: Buck L. Upp the clown and Little Billy.
Suddenly the sound of a train boomed throughout the theatre! From the back of the house came clowns doing "The Safety Train".
Little Billy tried to join the safety train, but he didn't know enough about safety. Buck told him that the clowns would take turns teaching him about different parts of safety. There were many lesson including Bubbles the Mermaid from the Glendale Fire Department teaching about 9-1-1.
And after many different acts about wearing a seatbelt, pool safety, wearing a helmet when you ride a bicycle, electricity safety, and more, Little Billy showed Little Misty (both from the Scottsdale Police Department) that he knew about safety and the importance of having good friends.
The Safety Train returned and this time Little Billy was able to join! All the clowns came out and took a bow! |
