S.M.I.L.E At the 2004 Parada

The S.M.I.L.E. Clowns took part in the Parada Del Sol parade in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 1, 2004.  The mile and a half long parade is one of the largest parades to features horses and no motor vehicles!

While the S.M.I.L.E. Clowns were there, we ran into such notables as Ronald McDonald and "America's Toughest Sheriff" Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Maricopa County, Arizona.  Both were nice enough to stop and pose for some pictures with us!

The Professional Latex Chimp puppet has been a favorite of both Mark Ruffennach (Flower the Chimp) and Bruce Wall (Louie the Monkey) of the S.M.I.L.E. Organization since 1998.

When Axtell introduced the medium size 24" chimp in 1999, it sold out at that year's S.M.I.L.E. Conference in 2 hours!
