Officer Mark Ruffennach
President
Mark is one of the co-founders of S.M.I.L.E. and is setting the goals
and direction of the Organization. Mark has worked for the
Scottsdale Police Department since 1983 and has worked in the Crime
Prevention Unit since 1991.

Jerry Quarles
Vice President of TrainingJerry is in charge of all training
efforts by S.M.I.L.E. He is a Crime Prevention Specialist for the Mesa
(Arizona) Police Department. |

Bruce Wall
Vice President of OperationsBruce is in charge of the day to
day operations of the organization. He is one of the co-founders of S.M.I.L.E. Bruce is a Neighborhood
Safety Advisor for the City of Scottsdale (Arizona). |

Carrie Abts
Treasurer
Is responsible for all monetary transactions including membership.

Debbie Wood
Secretary
Is responsible for taking minutes at Board Meetings and sharing those
minutes with the Board and any interested members. |

Pam Moody
Director of Fire Relations
Is responsible for keeping S.M.I.L.E. aware of issues pertaining to
the Fire and Life Safety Community. Pam runs LAFS For Life
in Iowa.

Officer
Scott Reed
Director of Media Relations
Is responsible for all contacts with the media including press
releases and interviews. Scott retired in 2003 from the Scottsdale
Police Department after 20 years. In 2003, he was hired by the Prescott (Arizona)
Police Department and in 2004 he was hired by the Yavapai County
Sheriff's Office.

Patty Meagher
Clown Extraordinaire & Immediate Past President
Patty is our liaison with the other clown groups in the Valley.
Patty is a professional clown who works with hospitals and non-profit
organizations to make the world a better place! |
